WINFIELD "BUZZ" GRANT MULKINS, II '65

Do you know what I remember most about Buzz? At the end of the basketball season, we were getting pictures made for the yearbook. Some of the guys were using chairs to jump off so that they could be "dunking" the ball in their picture. Buzz did that and landed wrong, breaking his ankle. But he wouldn't leave until he was in the team photo. If you look at the team photo, you can see that he did not have his typical smile, but more of a grimace. He is was in a lot of pain, but he didn't want to be left out of the picture.  Remembering Buzz by Jerry Ball '65
