Obituary of Dennis Edward Bianchi
Dennis Bianchi, 71, of Bedford, TX passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at his home. He will always be remembered as a loving father and friend to all that knew and loved him. Dennis was born in Riverside, California on September 27, 1946 to Edward and Helen Bianchi. The son of a military father, he traveled to and grew up in various locations across the world including Hawaii and Germany. After graduating from Randolph High School in San Antonio he went on to attend college at the University of Texas and Southwest Texas State University. Following a long and successful career as an Insurance Executive with companies such as Allstate and Horace Mann, he retired to a life of leisure and relaxation. He was a huge fan of the Texas Longhorns and was so proud to see his beloved Houston Astros win their first World Series in 2017. He had a passion for spreading holiday joy each Christmas by opening his home to all that would visit his famous lights and decorations, affectionately known as the “North Pole” to his Glenbrook neighbors. He also enjoyed spending his evenings sipping Johnny Walker Black and listening to music at his favorite local bar, Danny’s Celtic Pub. Above all though, he most treasured spending time with his kids. Survivors include his son Dominic and his wife Jacky; twin daughters Gina and Kara; sister Jan Kidder; and brother Gene. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 3:30pm on Saturday, July 14 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home (5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034) followed by a celebration of his life at Danny’s Celtic Pub (2824 Central Dr, Bedford, TX 76021) from 5pm-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dennis’ favorite charity, Wounded Warrior Project ( https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate ). Online condolences may be made at www.Bluebonnethills.com.
